He underwent reduction of breast tissue by liposuction and direct excision of tissue beneath the areola (darker skin around the nipple). He also underwent areolar reduction. These techniques allowed for maximal flattening of the protruding areolas. He is shown about 4 weeks after surgery, still with relatively fresh surgical scars that will fade with time.

Hello, My husband has been interested in gynecomastia for some time now. What is the cost range of this type of surgery. We live in New Orleans so we would be flying in for the procedure. How soon after the procedure should we wait to fly back? Do patients get IV anesthesia or just local? Thanks for your help. Sarah Wilson
